Signal origin & transmission lore
RX_01 arrived unusually clean.
Most fragments stutter, tear, or collapse before the Selenophone can isolate a carrier. This one came through like a city at night: rain, glass, pressure, motion.
The source vector points to Neo-Asgard, an industrialized northern megacity from a branch-history where the Viking Age never dissolved into medieval Europe. Its gods survived as institutions. Its warrior houses became corporate dynasties. Its longships became night trains, freight towers, and sealed transit lines over black water.
The recovered songs appear to come from a club beneath a commuter causeway. Brass clusters resembling trumpet, saxophone, and warhorn lock against syncopated breaks and distorted low-frequency bass.
The vocal layer resembles Old Norse, but not any surviving Earth dialect. The archive labels it ALT_OLD_NORSE: ancestral, altered, and centuries off course.
